Hi. I am using Revit 9.0. My question concerns creating visually correct wall sections. I have made some stacked walls showing the wall below grade. However, the section cuts of my CMU blocks don't show the cavity--it just shows a lot of vertical lines. Is there any way to create a filled region that will appear anytime I model a CMU block in my wall sections? Thanks in advance. AC

Is it safe to assume you have all the cut patterns sorted properly?

You are really asking for too much from the program, these details do not need to be part of the model. There are some good tutorials on repeating details and edit cut profile that will show you how to add to and modify sections that need to be at a higher detail.

Thanks for the link -- But I can't access many of the tutorials--my firm really has the internet on lockdown and I can't go to any webpage with the word BLOG in it. It is a real pain in the curse with trying to learn Revit. I have to call up some guy in another office and qualify why I need access to the site--which usually takes about 20 minutes--talk about dumb. -ac

Hi again thankyoufrankgehry From what I can understand, there is definately a way to do what you're wanting but it wont be by associating filled regions with walls. Experiment with wall layers, layer materials etc. to see how Revit builds walls and you'll discover how best to achieve the look youre wanting, Hope this helps!
