Greetings all,

I appologies if this question has already been posted.  I found some that are similar but doesn't quite cover all of what I'm tryihng to accomplish.

First a bit of information:  I have a 5 story office complex that I'm curently working on modeling out the shell.  There are about 12 tenants in the building and I would like to be able to create a master model that I can have our commercial management and leasing departments have access to when needed. This will be my first attempt at a project of this size and type, and it will also be the first time I will reference another revit file.

So now to the questions:  What tips, issues and/or problems should I be aware of?  Is it just as simple as to create a file and reference the shell, and each separate tenant files, to create one master file?  Is there a way to create a master file with a similar command like BIND in autocad, this is so I can keep a history of the entire building from change to change?

Thanks,

Michael

You can copy/ monitor the files together and then track changes that way. I dont know if the track changes works with linked files.

There is a good post from brettgoodchild on this post http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=10146

You might want to do some more searches/ research on copy monitor.

Nick,

Thanks for the information.  That gives me a starting point.

You can even set up a master project directory with all of the drawings of the linked files listed (name - number ...).  You would still have to access the individual files to see the drawings.  You could sort those drawings by project/name / number.
