IN MY DOOR SCHEDULE I HAVE A DOOR THAT IS A 3070 W/SIDE LIGHT. IT IS 4'-8" TOTAL ACROSS AND IS 7'-4" IN HEIGHT AND IT IS READING THAT WAY IN MY SCHEDULE. I WANT IT TO READ 3'-0" X 7'-0" IN MY SCHEDULE BUT IT IS COMING UP AS 4'-8" X 7'-4". WHAT DO I NEED TO DO SO THAT IT WILL READ THE RIGHT WAY?

It may be that the family's Width parameter is the overall width (door with side light).  The Width and Height parameters are what Revit looks at when building a schedule.

maranelloboy is correct about the width parameter. We use the "Width" Parameter to determine the 'panel' size, and "Rough Width" to determine the 'overall' width. The same goes for Heights. I have to add formulas to the parameters to get all of the widths heights to read correctly in a schedule.

Example:

Rought Width = Width + (Frame Width * 2)

This is only an example. Some of my formulas are more complex than this, but I am able to acheive all desired entries in a Door Schedule and the are still parametric.
