I have Revit 2008 and I have a problem. I'm trying to move my levels without changing their elevations. But every way I've tried either the entire floor level and its parts move up or down with it. Is there any quick way to just move the level indications without disturbing everything else in the project. any help would be cool. Thanks

Those items move because they are associated with that level. You must somehow disassociate the objects from the level to get them to stay. Some objects cannot be effectively disassociated so you may have to redraw them.

No, there's not, unless you just want to move the text around. You do that by clicking on the squiggly line under the elevation name and it will give you a couple new grips to move it up and down. What are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there's another way to do it.

would adding another level(s) and then hiding from view the elevation marks you don't want to see work for you?

There would be so much that I would have to edit if I were to redraw the items associated with the levels. My levels should be at the top of my floors, instead they are ontop of the beam system which sits below my floors. I'll try the method of disassociating the objects and let you know! Thanks

Why don't you just rename the level you have to top of steel... add a true floor level and hide the top of steel level. You can then grab everything that was on the beam level and relocate thaem to the floor level.
