how to create a cornice or parapet on a wall that is curved on a radius and arched on the top.Create Sweep always says error.cant create sweep.even if i pick just one line on the path.imagine the shape of the wall to the crown of wonderwoman(except with the star). ...thanks so much.as this gave me headaches in solving it.

Is something like this what you are trying to achive? (see attached JPG) The way to do it is place a wall in a view with the curve in plan. Switch to an elevation, draw a reference plane at the angle you want, name the reference plane, attach the top of the wall to the reference plane. Then for the sweep, set your "work plane" to be the reference plane you created earlier. Sketch the 2D sweep path and apply the profile you want to it. Hope this helps. Tom You lost me at "draw a reference plane..." when you say angle you want Can you please be a bit clearer. I have tried method but just not sure . Cheers

I'll answer when I can. Sometimes the workload does not allow the time needed to respond. It is fun to realize that the Revit community is worldwide and that stuff I write in my bedroom at night is getting out to the world. Just glad to help out when I can. Tom
