I am using Revit 2008 and just installed Cute PDF but cannot get any PDF output when trying to plot. I use a HP 1220 printer that only handles 11x17 size, so I went into printers and faxes and created a new printer using a HP 650 plotter and Cute PDF as the output with d-size sheets. Still no PDF. What I do get is a 8.5x11 blank sheet in Acrobat. Have tried all the settings for page size.

Please help. Kind of stuck without this.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Cute PDF. If that fails try one of the other free PDF writers. Did you install Ghostscript?

hi rfarley, if you have installed cute pdf , when printing, u select cutepdf as the printer, not another device.

the cute pdf printer gives all paper size options up to and including A1 .

you run the plot routine using cutepdf, then save the pdf to a convenient location (file) as per the prompt, once saved, then u can either email said pdf , or then print that pdf using your hp printer to get a hard copy.

cheers

mansell has it correct, you use the CutePDF, as the plotter. I use PDFCreator, also free, and can make other formats which can be useful.
