I would like to know if anyone has found a way to create Multiple Keynote Schedules. I have created my own keynote schedule for a Floor Plan in NotePad and i can't seem to figure out how to create a different one for the Roof Plan. I would like to be able to keep the numbering as follows 1, 2, 3, 4...etc. for each sheet but referencing two different schedules on two different sheets.

You will need to set up the Keynote Number Method to "By Sheet" This is located in Settings-->Keynoting. There is a raidio button for "By Keynote" or "By Sheet". You will then need to right click on the keynote schedule in the browser and go to properties-->Filter and checkmark the box titled "Filter By Sheet". After this is done you can simply drag the keynote schedule onto any sheet you want.

I'm also looking for a way to have separate keynote files or some way to have duplicate numbers in the file. We use keynotes for almost every drawing and I don't want to have to do D1,2,3... for demo plans, F1,2,3...for floor plans, etc. I want to have a set of keynotes that numbers 1-whatever for demo plans, and then another set of keynotes numbered 1-whatever for floor plans, etc. I've checked the "by sheet" box, but it still won't allow me to have duplicate numbers. Anybody else experiencing this?

I should have tried it before I posted, but even the prefix thing doesn't seem to work. I created a txt file with notes D1,D2,D3,F1,F2,F3. I chose a view and tried to keynote something using the keynote D1, but the tag only read 1 (no D). At first I thought, "awesome, it's not going to show the prefix and I can have 1,2,3 whenever I want," but when I switched to a new view and tried to tag with F1,F2... nothing would show up in the box. It would say "F1" in the properties but it wouldn't show up in the box or on the keynote legend. Any ideas? I'm sure there are people out there that use keynotes for more than one thing. Please help! Thanks in advance!

Wow...you must be getting sick of me. James' post worked beautifully once I got the txt file down to bare bones numbers and descriptions. I was trying to put prefixes before the numbers thinking I had to do that to filter. Not neccessary. Just number your notes 1,2,3,4...even when you are swtiching over to a different set of notes, meaning notes 1-4 may be for demo drawings...once you want to start listing floor plan notes just keep on going (5,6,7...). If everything is set to "by sheet" like James explains the program does all of the work for you!!!! It's great! Thank you James for the help! I'll try to keep at it a little longer before I post again and again.
