In Revit Architecture 2008... I have a wall that I can move, split, and add in windows. But, I can't change the wall type, no grips appear when I click on the wall, and I can't even delete it to start over. Any ideas on how this happened?

Unpin it. Adjust your zoom until you can see the pin.

I couldn't find a pin no matter how far in or out I zoomed. But, I eventually found a view where it would let me delete the wall, so I'm starting from scratch, hopefully with better luck! Thanks.
