ya soo i am a newbie to revit. been doing cad for years but soo far revit is the greatest thing alive. but i got a question?!?!. when i create a opening in a wall for a window, how can i add a plane to look some glass??

You will need to apply the Glass material to the objects. Click on the object and go to properties. In there you will see a parameter called "Material". Select the pulldown and attach the glass material. By the way. Nice Avatar. I bet I know where you got it.

You can add a plane by using the extrusion tool. Once you have made the plane of glass, you just need to assign a "glass" material to it. I have a 17-part series of articles on creating custom 3d components in Reivt, on my site- if you're interested. (It's free!) Regards, Ian
