I am setting up a "Window Legend" to show elevations of the windows in my project. Because it would have taken an un-godly amount of time to set up my window families with the detailed mullions on this building, I just used simple un-divided windows and drew mullions as model lines for the purposes of showing the mullion patterns on the drawings. My methodology was to draw the detailed mullions as line, then group them, and then copy them to each window to show the detailed mullion pattern. Now when I set up my window legend, I go ahead and add each type of window onto the legend using "Legend Components" command. However, when I try to copy and paste the mullion patterns (drawn elsewhere on the model) onto the window elevation on the window legend, I am unsuccessful. It seems like it may be an issue with the working plane or something. Has anyone had any success doing something like this? Thanks for the help.
