Does anyone know how to get openings (e.g. a cut-out in a wall with no frame and no door) to stop appearing in door schedule? Thanks.

When you use the "opening no trim" family supplied with REVIT, it will schedule as a door. If you just cut an opening, it will not schedule. I like the ease of using the REVIT supplied family and have not bothered to create a different type of family so I just give these openings a XX number, dont't tag them in plan and I filter them out of my schedule.

By "filter" you mean the uses of different phases, right? Thanks!

No, you can use phases and filter by phase but in your schedule, you can use other filters. I simple filter out all doors that = XX or use some other form of exclusion. I see you have another post where you are dealing with existing doors. With those, I would use phases.

What Robles said is right. But if you create the opening within this Door Family then change its Family Category & Parameters to Generic it isn't considered to be a door & won't appear in door schedules. John A.

Thanks, John, for the alternate method...I like this since it addresses the issue from the get-go...in general it's just not useful to schedule openings under "doors" and I always thought it was odd that revit set things up this way.
