Hi,

 version : REVIT 9.1

Having a slight issue with the sun shadow settings, am currently doing a sun study of a building, and we are trying to show how much sun light enters the ground floor lounge in plan only, we need to show how the shadows are cast by the floor above as it overhangs the bottom floor slightly.

I dont want to show the actual model floor, just the shadow it has cast. is this possible to show the shadow for an item but not the item itself? the only thing i can manage is to hide it temporarily using hide/isolate, but i need it to show up when i print, so thats not helpful if you turn the floor off in visibility, the shadow is affected too, making it look more like the house has no upper floor and lots of sun light coming through. i've tried setting the view range but it doesnt work either. any thoughts??

ie. i want to see the shadows for the building in plan, but see through to the ground floor
