We have a wall cut pattern set up for our new 1 hour rated walls that is a block void block style pattern.  Pattern works great for new walls, however when you change the walls to existing the pattern is lost.  I tried to overide by element and add the pattern back in in a gray tone to represent the existing rated walls, however when I do, the walls show as a solid gray poche and the pattern is lost.  Does anyone have an answer or work-around to get my existing rated walls to show with the same block void block pattern in gray for the existing phase?

Thank you

Hi "stanmpd"

I found the same problem with my fill pattern being changed when wall was changed to the "existing" phase.  I checked the properties of it and found that the "existing" phase overrides the visibility with the material called "Phase - Existing".  It seems that there is only one material for ALL existing entities and hence the grey.

Can anyone help?  It is sincerely appreciated.

Ran into this a couple weeks ago when beginning to use phasing for plan options. Right-click on the wall/object, choose select all instances, right click again and choose override graphics in view > By element... you can then change the profile & cut lines and patterns to match your existing poche/line weights.
