Is anyone using othe operating systems apart from windows, such as Linux?

I believe that Revit only supports windows. There are a number of threads on here and AUGI in relation to Macs but I dont know that you can run it on anything else without useing emulation software...

You could try the wine application. I use it at home to run AutoCAD 2005 and have no issues. I say 2005 because my Linux is a little out dated and I haven't had the time to update it.

 

I just haven't gotten around to trying Revit but I don't see why it shouldn't.

Wine tastes better  Puh

Seriously though, I haven't tried running autocad or revit on wine but generally speaking, with *nix and wine you don't have the stability problems windows has (or constant necessity to reboot after upgrading the os). My home computer was up for 932 days without a reboot (FreeBSD) and would still be going strong except Ike knocked out the power and the UPS went down before I got the generator running.
