Our current office standard for showing wood bearing walls is to use a slightly heavier lineweight for dashed walls below. This makes it easier to see the walls stacked on top of each other. We only do this for wood, not concrete, cmu, etc.. Is there any way to do this in Revit?

If you are using RA2008 you can select the items you want to modify and right click and select Overide Graphics in View-->By Element. You can then select the cut line pattern and thickness you desire.

That works for a few elements but I want to automatically do it for every wood bearing wall.

Read up on View Templates.  These are critical for outputing model information specific to view type and minimize.  EX:  We have a standard view template created for 1/8" = 1'-0" plan views.  This can be set in one view based on your scale and view type criteria and applied to all other views of the similar type.  This will dramatically minimize overriding elements one by one while ensuring standards are maintained.  Additionally, this also reduces items such as how many line types you need in a file.  This should help your Carpal Tunnel Syndrome  Smile
