Lake Architectural is founded on three words:

DESIGN, BUILD, LIVE. 

DESIGN is focused on creating unique, functional solutions that tread lightly on the earth.  Projects are refined using “intelligent” (REVIT) software that inherently creates visual stimuli.  When it comes time to BUILD, the process is seamless, with Lake taking over the responsibility of the details.  This enables the client to do the most important part: to LIVE in their space.   

Lake Architectural was founded in 2004 by Peter Sorber, A.I.A. and Wayne LaFrance, A.I.A., two highly experienced architects (50+ years experience) who wanted to enrich the design and construction process for themselves and their clients. Frustrated by the assembly-line approach prevalent at many firms, Pete and Wayne wanted to see their projects through each phase – from feasibility studies and site analysis, to design and construction. Their mission is to provide unique functional design solutions, build creative  environmentally responsible spaces, all while establishing valuable and rewarding partnerships. 

 At Lake Architectural, we begin each project with life in mind. Be it a residential, commercial, educational or institutional facility, we understand that it’s really about creating a harmonious habitat   for the people who will live and work within the walls, and for the natural environment outside them. Everyone at Lake Architectural is passionate about finding new and practical methods for responsible design that simultaneously embrace new technology. To these ends, Lake utilizes REVIT for their Intergrated Project Delivery method to design in a BIM environment for their projects.

 Lake Architectural’s owners/partners are registered by the American Institute of Architects and accredited in L.E.E.D. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by the U.S. Green Building Council. At Lake Architectural, our plan is simple: Treat each challenge as a discovery, an opportunity, and be committed, passionate and moral in the execution of our actions.
