THIS IS NOT A DOOR FAMILY. This is a family witch you can load into your existing/new door family’s giving them the ability to have an adjustable door swing.
To use delete out the existing 2D door swing lines and then import this family. Use align to lock this family into place and link the parameters from this family into your door family. Total process should only take 1-2 minutes.
This is a Fixed model from the one I uploaded before. This one works with all angle from 1-179°

Here is a parametric door family in CMU wall with customized door schedule to match our office one.This one can show unequal leafs, different swing angles, lites, glass type on schedule; frame depth and frame setback are all parametric.1. The leaf sizes is "Type" dependant, a pair of 3'-0"/2'-0" x 7'-0", will be shown PR. 3'-0"/2'-0"x7'-0" on schedule. -if you need a pair of 3'-0"/1'-4" x 7'-0" door, you can duplicate 3'-0"/2'-0" x 7'-0", go to "Element Property" cahnge the "Width2" to 1'-4" and rename it accordingly, it will show on schedule.2. The swing angle is an "instance", you can click the door #11, go to "Element Property" change "Swing angle" to 50, it will be changed on plan.3. The lite in active panel has three configurations, and a flush one. -go to door schedule view, under "Door Type" not "(2) DOOR TYPE", for Door # 12, if you change the number to 3, then go to 3D view, you can see the lite changed.4. Type of glass is an "instance", you can un-check the box "Exterior Door" on Door Schedule, the "(5)GLASS" will be changed from SGI to SG. SGI- safety glass insulated, SG-safety glass.5. Frame depth and setback (for masonry wall) are all "Family dependant", since I think that each project should have the same setback, if you want, you can modify it and make it a "Type" or "Instance" parameter.Then you can go to Sheet A101 to see the print format of the door schedule.

Improved parametric hollow metal doors from my post dated August 31, 2011.You can open the "Door Schedule View", switching "Door Type" from #1 thru #4, and watching the door panel changes on 3 D view.You can also check/unckeck "Exterior Door", to swith the "(5) GLASS" from "SG" - safety glass, to "SGI" - safety glass-insulated.If you like it, you can download the door families in the drawing mentioned above as bases, adding parameters shown here, and creat your own set of parametric door families. Due to the asymmetrical nature of this type of doors; Ideally, there should have two families, one for the left active door, one for the right. This one is only show a quick way for how to create this type of door. If you like it, you can download the door families in the drawings "Adjustable Hollow Metal Doors for CMU and Stud Walls", and "Adjustable Hollow Metal Doors-Improved Version" as bases, adding/modify parameters as you need, and creat your own set of parametric door families. This family is based off of the Plastico Pyramid Skylights that are for larger opening spans. This is similar to my other family, but this one will only have 4 skylights. It's a modular system with adjustable skylight size with a set minimum 17.25" width and 99" max length for individual units. The mullion, curb depth, curb height, frame height, and pyramid heights are all adjustable. (Updated adjustment problem. (length and width adjustments work fully now. Now no way to adjust number of skylights) |
