Come on people we really need to start adding to the Family files. It seems like since 6.0 not many people have posted new families. Me included, I am guilty! But simple things like good RCP symbols - exhaust fans, j-box, smoke detectors, etc. I LOVE Revit but my biggest complaints with it is how much time we have to spend creating simple things that should be out of box! Let's all try to add more families! Thanks! Ok I am stepping off the soap box now!

I have produced various doors/windows etc but am always unsure whether to post up as I am still learning and continuously trying to improve these families (sometimes having to recreate from scratch). Adding useful variable parameters as I learn more about them. I would not like to post families and then receive complaints because I had not included something basic. Ideally, we would all fully test any familes before using, but some time constraints mean we may just take the risk? What are peoples views on this.

I also do not post stuff for fear they may not be as correct as I think. But we do use them in our office so they work for us. I think we must get over this fear and at least post the things we have used and then if someone needs it but needs to modify it slightly they can. I think it is better than going to the Family Explorer and see all those zeros. Thanks for your comments!
