I have sucessfully imported revit files into viz in the past; however my current project was not originally modeled in revit orthagonal to true north. this poses no problem while working within revit, but when i try to export it into viz (via dwg) all the materials i applied in rvt are improperly rotatated on the walls, roofs etc. Also, i cannot get the model to import correctly size wise. (its huge)

Has anyone had this problem? i dont see too many posts that have anything to do with viz.

I usually discard all the materials anyway. It doesn't take too long if you try it a time or two. You kinda get used to the way Revit names stuff on export. You can also use the same material right in your Viz/Max material editor and rotate it from there if you don't want to do all the trouble I do.

Not sure on the size except make sure you check everything when you import to check the import size. It may be set in your default Viz file as Feet instead of inches...or something similar if it's Metric.

I realized the material map had been rotated in revit, but the original .jpg was never altered, and since the viz material was refrencing it i had to go into the materials in viz and rotate it again. as for the size thing, i dont know what was going on but i did a reboot and then it worked fine.
