Hi All,
A very popular design style here in Atlanta is a return on the eave. Does anyone know how to make this in Revit?

maybe send us all an image of what you are trying? down here in aussie land, we may not have that detail!
otherwise, why not do two rooves, and join rooves?

If the attached is what you are referring to, it's done with 2 joined roofs. The second attachment shows the smaller cornice return roof in edit mode with the corner hipped as is the larger main roof it is attached to. This isn't necessary when you join the roofs as they will clean up as long as they are EXACTLY aligned. By drawing the roofs as a hip at the corner allows the fascias to clean up automatically vs. adjusting with grips. whatever you find easier.

I can not find the referenced information on the AUGI site. and I am trying to get my roof eaves to look like the following. Any suggestions, right now i have the second sketch from what i can figure out.

I'm not sure what you're looking for. Is it a gable trim board?

I am ot sure what you are refering to. If it is the fascia trim on the outside of the gable overhang than I would create a solid extrusion in the elevation view and lock it at 19mm or 25mm thick than in the plan view move and lock it to the gable overhang.

I am looking for both the solid eave return and the gable end trim board. As you can see from my sketch (maybe) i can get an eave return but it leaves a triangular void above it that shows in the elevational views. Do i have to do it like i would in autocad and draw the triangular profile and extrude it around the roof profile? sorry for the newb questions but i am...heh

ok, long story short, I did the attached house in Autocad, we are trying to put it into revit to use it for modelling and other marketing purposes. With that being said, we used extended bottomo chord trusses to get flat eave returns. Revit is only using extended top chord trusses (sorta) to frame the roof so I need to get the gable ends to have the profile in the attached photo. Any suggestions, please be explicited as i have about 2 weeks of self taught training. Thanks John
