"What do you mean they wont install?  Are you getting an error saying its not compatible with your version of Revit?  Does it say your version is already up to date?"

It's looks for the installation disc, and when I point it to the location of the USB drive, I get a message saying that it's not compatible with the version I have.

I might just move onto 2014 as we don't have any projects at the moment that are 2013 and anything we get coming in will probably be 2014.

Cheers,

"it's not compatible with the version I have."

That usually means you are downloading the wrong one.  Did you try downloading Service Pack 2 or just 1?

Oh someone shoot me now.

Tried to install the SP1 again and realised that when I did a search for the 'RVT2013.msi' on the USB, I clicked on the first one that came up, which just happened to be the 32bit version.

Tried the 64bit msi file and it all worked. 2013 is now working properly again.

I'm just going to go and hang my head in shame.

Thanks for the help.

I am running 2013 revit building Design Suite and tried running update 3, it says it cant find the program. i later tried a standalone revit 2013 update 3 and this worked for me.

I just thought that was a bit weird, I know we paid for the Building deisgn suite and not a standalone.

Revit Building Suite, much like AutoCAD comes as either a Network or Stand Alone licence, not both.

If you not sure what you have, check the product licence information.
