Allen R.I.P, I've only been a member for RevitCity for a month or so but you were on everyday and always there to help thanks friend.

Allen was a good guy and when I needed help with Revit he was usually the only one in the chat room to respond to your questions. Allen was someone who cared for others needs on Revit. You will be missed greatly Allen DODGERAMDIESEL

Thanks again for everyone's contributions. Thanks to meredithAD for providing pictures of the floral arrangement and letter we sent to Allen's Family, and to Allen's family at his firm that helped us with the presentation of the letter.

It is such a terrible loss. I just read it on the site, as I have been away. Allen was a great guy to "talk" with and was always able to offer helpful advise, or atleast a snide comment. Either way it made for a laugh to have him in the chat room. RIP Allen Ball.

Thanks again everyone for your participation. I want to share a letter that Allen's father sent to us. You can download the PDF at the end of the post: "To the RevitCity Family of Allen Ball, There is a quote that states “Every person we meet and every event that happens is the perfect preparation for a future that only God knows’. To know that God allowed Allen’s path to cross with all of you, who have reached out and loved us through our saddest days, is to truly see the love of God. Thank you for that love we needed so desperately. The many posts and the generosity you have shown has meant so much to us. Words fail to express what it has truly meant to us, and the memories you shared about Allen that we can always cherish. Allen was not a rich man but he loved life and it would be hard to say which he loved more, his revit work or going hunting. Allen was laid to rest just around the corner from his huge deer stand he built last fall, in a private and very peaceful family cemetery. It is a very old cemetery dating back to before Arkansas became a state. The donations made in memory of Allen will be given to the cemetery fund in order to help with the maintenance of the grounds. We have posted a picture of the old road leading to the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas.Many of the posts made by members of Allen’s RevitCity family were displayed at his memorial service and they were both humorous and insightful and illustrated that you all really are one big family. Thank you for allowing Allen to be part of such a great family. Our heartfelt thanks, love and prayers to all, David, Cindy and Janelle Ball" Allen's father also sent us a picture of the cemetery entrance: "...you can see the flowers by Allen's grave in the background on the left side."

I met Allen Ball online. We become friends on facebook.
People are intimidated by the small font etc..... not many people are using revit chat! Make it easier!
We can chat online.... in an easier forum.
