Hi all, Can the cut plane be cranked? eg. In a first floor plan can the cut plane be set such that any adjacent roofs pitched of the ground floor are not cut but cuts the flirst floor to shows doors/windows etc? cadjockey

oh cool, i have the same problem, with 2 buildings one of them being a linked file, any help be gratefully appreciated Will

try checking out 'plan regions'? these clever things are simply sub regions with different view ranges. in the view menu i think. you just sketch a shape around the region that you need a different cut plane. we use this a bit for stepped buildings.

you are most welcome cadjockey. it is a privilige to be thanked by users who probably know more than myself! the only reason i am aware of stuff, is by regularly checking into posts, especially by mr spot, and by studying help and tutorials. revit is unbelievably deep, and i am stunned by how much it can do, once you become familiar with it. i dream of knowing more!
