How do I turn off just the linked grid and levels? In VG - Annotation Categories I uncheck levels, but the copy/monitor levels go away as well.

The "Display Settings" of the linked revit file are all grayed out as well, so I am not able to uncheck grids and levels.

You don't turn it off in the main model VG, goto the revit links tab / display settings for the linked model - change that to custom and you will now see the VG for the link.  Turn them off there.

Thanks WWHub - I had made it to the linked files VG but didn't change that to "custom" as well. Got it now.

Re: Grid lines extend beyond crop area
Got it...The extents of the grids that extend out of the crop region (in the linked file) are set to "2d" instead of "3d". When a grid is set to "2d", the extents are overridden in that view only. Revit assumes that if you set these extents for that particular view (by setting it "2d"), that is what you want to see.To fix it, go back to the linked file, right click on the grid, and select "reset to 3d extents"Joe
