Hi Emgeeo

Thanks alot for the video! I really appriciate you trying to help me here!!!

Your solution is kind of the same solution as has been suggested before by others... and having tried the "relocate project" function, using the same shared coordinates, It is not a solution I can use as I have written in some of my previous posts!

Before you do this "specify coordinates at a point", then try to do a terrain, on the original ground level at 0 (the level called "FOUNDATION" in your video!), using points as "absolute elevation" marked as 0. Then do your "specify coordinates at a point", and then try to edit your terrain and check these points on the terrain after you have changed everything to the shared coordinates... they will still be marked as 0!!!!! :-( They will not have changed to the new level with these "shared coordinates" function!! Meaning the "shared coordinates are "only to show!" They do not change the projects coordinate system, so I can start working in real world levels!! Does this make sense!? And if you have a way to change the terrain to follow the shared coordinates, I will be extremely greatfull!!

Arkoh-

well you said "ANYONE" so here i am and i have only been using revit

for five years.. but i'm amazed to see so many revit users asking this

same question about moving buildings and all the answers having to

do with project location and shared coodinates tools that never seem

to be a solution..

i have always built my buildings where i know they will stay put..

because it seems like virtual construction is really what it is..

and in real life you sure won't move a ten story building and you

definitely won't move the earth.. however- i have finally decided

to investigate the possiblity of properly relocating buildings on

a site.. my guess would be the idea of copying the site data to

a new file (separate session of revit) and then also opening a

third session of revit to build a completely new site using the

information in the first separate session.. then when i have

the new site finished and exactly the way i want it to fit the building-

i will link it into my building file..

does this sound like anything to you?

Hi Arkoh,

I see that the last reaction is dated the 1st of february and I can imagine you would have totally rebuild the model by now if you weren't able to find a solution to your problem. Anyhow, I totally understand your situation, because I have the same problem..!

So, I was wandering if you finally found a 'simple' solution to a (at first sight) simple problem....
