Is there a way to create a ground plane which has different elevations? The house I created is built into a hill so the entrance is at 4'-6, but the back of the house should be at ground level. Is there a way to create a ground plane which will show this?

using a ramp or a toposurface should work.

Are you trying to create a site toposurface with varying grade levels or a floor that changes levels or has slopes? . For the outside of the building use a toposurface with varying grade points. For the inside use floors (sloping), stairs and ramps. . It depends on how you want the interior to match up with the exterior.
