The next best way to keynote, is using the noteblocks schedule, all you need to do is create a generic annotation family, my office uses a diamond with a number in it for the keynote.  Thus you need at least 2 pieces of information, the number to be shown for the keynote, and the description/text that you want to be displayed.  Now this can be scheduled in a note block schedule, and you get something like this:

 1        Put the text you want shown in here...

 IF you are looking for a way to place text which can be changed from a single location, create an annotation family, and place a label in this family, for the TEXT parameter that you create.  I recommend duplicating this label several times over, and then stretching it longer/shorter to allow you to control the visibility of your text.  Anyway, what this gets you is the ability to add a leader, and to show your text.  So long as your text parameter is type based, then if you change the note in one spot, it will change its counter parts EVERYWHERE!  Please post further questions towards this description, as I'm aware it isn't the clearest, plus I'm assuming a certain level of understanding...
