I am having a problem with a stair railing.  I have included a screen image of it.  The railing splits at the landing.  Any advice?

Hi, where is the image? did you create two boundaries lines (one in the steps (risers) and other in landing)?

Hi, delete the left rail and do another and see if the parameters of the rail (duplicate with another name) see the images attached: is what you need?

This is not a Revit thing as this is how it actually has to be  made.  Revit keeps your railing at the height you set above the nosing of the stairs...this issue is an architectural issue not Revit.  To get this to clean up nicely what I would suggest is to add an additional 11" (or what ever your tread size is) to the landing right below top portion of the stairs.  This will alow the railing to get to the same elevation as the railing that starts on the lower section of the stairs.  Let me know if this is clear...if not I can post a picture or something.

Ok, attached is a picture of what I am talking about.  See how my landing extends the same distance as my tread?  This allows the raling to get back down to the same level as where the railing that goes down the lower portion of the stairs starts.

The way you drew it doesnt give the railing comming down a chance to get to the same height as the railing on the landing.

yeah, i know that, but he don't put any image of stair in plan, so to create a railling like he post in 3d image it's like that, the riser start in the corner of the other, what you do is create a "Extra" part of landing and then begin the riser, i don't know if it's what he want but like the 3d images he post i suppose that is, AARONK, can you put the image in plan of that stairs?

Yea a good rule of thumb I've heard from people is when you have a landing extend the landing half a tread before the landing and half a tread after. then the railings will be pretty close to lining up.

Revit will not put  in a vertical rail and that is exactly what those two instances, geometricly, have to have to get the two railings to connect.

If you have to have the treads go like you have so the railing needs a vertical piece i cant really say.  The only way to get this to show up correctly in 3D would be to model your railings in place by hand, this is VERY ardous though...I did this on one of my projects and it took me 3 days to get the railing to look perfect.  Probably wouldnt do it again.  I would just leave it looking wrong and detail it in elevation and plan to look correct.
