Yea, I didn't think about the windows. My method will only work if the entire sweep is cut vertically by an opening. sorry

So, when you add a wall sweep, at the location it hits the dorr, you don;t get any of the blue grips? I drew an out of the box wall, with an out of the box door, and an out of the box sweep and it works for me, see image. I pulled the sweep back further than the frame for illustrative purposes. But is this kind of what you are trying to do?

this is exactly what I'm trying to do, but, for some weird reason, when you check "cut by wall inserts" (which I need to do to cut out the windows), the blue dots at the door disappear.

OK. Now I see. To be honest, the way I would do this is not with a wall sweep, but I would make another wall type for the pad, draw it along side the exterior wall and then join them. By doing this, when one wall moves, the other will as well and once joined the windows and doors should cut both of the walls. I have done this before when I had to put new tile on an existing wall. It worked pretty well. If you want to stick with the wall sweep and there are not too many windows, you can create a void elelment and cut it out of the sweep, but if there are a bunch of windows it could get messy. (see image for example). Good luck! HTH.

I agree with LIZARD2806. I would make a new wall type. I didn't think of that before but that is a good idea.
