This thread is incredibly confusing.  I'm glad you got it sorted but:

First you ask:

"When rotating a view on a sheet is it possible to stop the view title rotating as well"

of which WWHub gave the solution to reverse rotate the crop region.  Not sure what you mean by rotating the parent view?  You are only rotating this particular view (unless its a dependant...).  It doesn't effect any other views.  If you want to maintain a correctly rotated view also then just do a duplicate with detailing.  OR are you saying you had dependant views?

You finally say "Just wanted to keep the view (sheet title) horizontal and not rotate with the view".

Which essentially saying you don't want to change anything??

Sorry just trying to add some clarity to this thread for others to future reference.

Hi Mr Spot 

Yes, this all started out as a really basic question that has grown well out of proportion.

All I wanted to do originally was rotate my view on my title sheet and NOT have the view title rotate at the same time. ie rotate my sheet viewport 90 degress while leaving the sheet viewport title horizontal.

My apologies also, when I said I "Just wanted to keep the view (sheet title) horizontal and not rotate with the view" I should have said I wanted to keep the viewport title horizontal and not rotate with the view. Does this help?

Anyway, the end result of all of this correspondance is if you rotate a viewport on a tilte sheet the viewport title rotates as well and you can not keep the viewprt title horizontal.

No that is not true.

That is only the case if you use the rotation on sheet parameter.

Rotating the crop region in the reverse direction is the solution which has been stated twice in this thread and many more times in other threads.

Just look at the links at the bottom of the page...

ok, rotating the crop region is not the solution I was looking for. Also, I had actually read the other posts before and was fully aware of the method as I had also tried this before posting the question here. I want to leave my view as is and only rotate the viewport on the sheet but leave the viewport title horizontal (note rotating with the viewport)

I want to use the rotation on sheet tool and leave the viewport title horizontal but this is not possible as you said,

"That is only the case if you use the rotation on sheet parameter."
