Yeah. Gave it a whirl. Revit throws up this error message: Can't make change to Group "1st Floor Window" with more than one instance. To resolve: Ungroup and Group again under a new name. Edit and make change, then change all instances of the original Group to the new Group. When I ungroup, the void form is apparently not selectable as I tried to select all the elements for the new group... I also tried throwing a void form into a regular window family in the family editor. Doesn't work.

You might want to think about creating that part as its own generic wall based family. I would make it parametric so you can intelligently adjust what you need to, but I know you can add the voids and whatever else in the family and place it as many times and it will cut.

First, just try making a new generic model wall based family and place a void in it so it is cutting the wall. Then I would load that into a test project and see if what you did works. If so, I would then I would look at adding Ref. Planes and Labels to make it intelligent.

New to the forum. This thread REALLY helped. The void geometry thing was stumping me. Now.... GOT IT! Thanks!
