Trimming Walls to the Underside of Stairs Using Voids

4. Now we need to add reference planes where the detail lines intersect both the front and back reference planes. To make it
easier for us in our elevation name them using the previous method according to their position. That is, the reference planes associated with the
first tread should be named B1 and F1 (B=back, F=front), then continue this numbering method up the stairs. Also make sure the reference planes
properly intersect the view, that is the 3D extents overlap the elevation boundaries.

5. Now click the work plane button and choose pick plane, then select the “FRONT” reference plane. You will be prompted to go
to an appropriate view, select the framing elevation we just created.

6. We now want to create an in-place family void to cut out the unwanted section of the wall. Choose Create (modelling
tab)->Wall->Then give the family an appropriate name. Refer image below.
