RevitCity.com | Basement Wall Function: "Foundation" or "Exterior"?

/windows in our basement walls . Our basement walls have their funtion set to "Foundation", which means the walls come in BELOW the level they are drawn in. But when we add a door/window, these always come in ABOVE the level they are drawn in. So is there a way to make our doors/windows come in BELOW

elements, but "Existing" walls are given a much lighter lineweight than New walls . How can I set the lineweights by phase. We also have an office standard that the new walls have a diagonal hatch.
