I am trying to render my model which is on a sloping site.

The rendered image looks as if there is a plain cut through it that cant be rendered under. I tried to find the option to change the render viewport but have so far not found anything.

it may have something to do with the fact i modelled everything on one level and then reduced the model appropriately to represent the sloping land. it looks as if the level that the cut runs through the render is the same as the original leveleling that i was modelling from.

i have attached an image showing the problem

 any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

The toposurface can either be edited to suit your cut thro of the new structure (Pad/Graded region), or turn the toposurface completly off using visibility graphics, and when rendering assign a material to the ground plain in the eviroment settings.

Hopfully this answers your question.

Hi, thatnks for your quick responxe and offering your advice. However, it wasnt the materials as you suggested, it was the ground plane settings.

I searched the forum after i uploaded my query and found the problm i had was a common one amongst others and there was already plenty of advice as to how to fix my problem/

sorry for wasting any of your time

 thanks again
