Hello,

Using Revit 2008 here.  Am a beginner with only three weeks experience now and its been an interesting one.  The basics I have pretty much learned a lot about.  But the real complex things are still complex.  I loaded the Single Panel Fixed door from the Revit web library and it is used as a door object.  But since it is a fixed panel and our office standards consider it to be tagged/identified as a window.  Of course, I tried loading it the same file through the window command and no luck.  I have tried playing around with shared parameters and could not figure it out.  Could someone help me out with this one?  A sidelight is considered a window so why not the fixed door panel?

 Thanks!

What you need to do is Open the Fixed panel Family. Go to Settings menu-->Family Category and Parameters and checkmark "Window" category. Save and reload the family into the project and it will tag as a window.
