where did the handsf font come from??    we'd like to purchase this font so that it can be embedded into our PDF drawings.

alternatively, if someone knows of a font that also includes the fractions to 1/16th, plate symbols and such ~ could you let me know where i could purchase that??  i'm looking at the different font sites online ~ but digging thru to find fonts that have the alternate characters takes a while....

thanks in advance,

missgayley

You don't load fonts into REVIT.  Revit uses the windows fonts.

I am wondering if any knows whether or not the post font architxt is a freeware or public domain font.  If not our firm needs not purchase the font to appease our IT dept.  Ihave looked around and can not find any other information except for what is listed when you open the font.

What were the issues with the ARchitxt.ttf when making PDF files?  This could be a really big use.  Don't forget you can not change the font globally like you could in AutoCAD.  Boy would that be a nice feature!!! Hint.  Hint.

This may be a dumb question but once Handsf Single has been downloaded, how do I upload it into Revit?  Please reply back anyone!

revit uses windows fonts.  once you put the font in your windows font folder revit will see it. so when you create your text styles you scroll through your list of fonts and the font you placed in the windows font folder will show up in your list.

Quoting arnosandoval from 2005-02-14 17:01:07

"Revit, doest not support SHX files, so trying to use the Archtxt font won't work. Revit only supports True type font files. There are a number of websites that you can go to ckeck out fonts and pruchase. http://store.adobe.com/type/main.html www.fonts-online.com www.lineotypes.com http://www.philsfonts.com/otlist.html A good font to use is Graphite Std Regular, another is Handsf Single. Attached is the ttf file for handsf Single. Try it out if you like. "

No one has answered tnhe main question here, is Handsf Single a free and open domain font or is there a place to purchase this? My IT department needs to know ASAP as this is the font we want to use as a company.

I have done a google search and this thread is basically the only thing that comes up.

Thanks for a timely reply.

Could. But PM's have already seen Handsf and like it. If no one can answer the question on that one I am sure our IT dept. will want us to use something else. Thanks for the links!

Is there a way to get the Handsf font ot embed in pdf files?  Just realized there is a lock on the font the prohibits that, and I can't seem to get around it in pdfs.  Pointless to use the font if they get substituted with something else when I send them to others.
