Hi i'm designing a house and i'm a little confused with the filtering system and turning off familys. I'm trying to turn off some of my strucural framing in a 3d view. i.e my roof trusses, purlins and beams, but wish to keep on my floor joists and bearers... How do i go about this? I understand that you can turn them off in your visibility graphics by going to your model catogories and expanding your strucutural framing box and then u have the option of turning off girders, bracing, joists, the list goes on. The problem I'm having is that some of the beams and purlins aren't actually called up as any of those, so i cant seem to turn them off. I'm not sure whether those beams and purlins are actually missing parameters in there familys. Any help would be great.....

forgive me im doing this blind, im installing the new update for Revit MEP so i cant look at be exact but i think its pretty close. select what you want hidden and right-click from here go to hide in view from here you can select elements or category, to see these again, click the little light bulb thing on the bottom of the screen and the hidden elements will turn pinkish, select these and right click again unhide in view. hope that helps
