Question / problem can you pls. look into it and help.
i have a Room tag (attached) and the font i used is Romans and when i export it to Autocad it comes as Romans but the text itself has some kind of thickness and i have to explode it which i dont want to. Can you look into it as to why it's like that.
Thanks in Advace.

The reason is that Autocad will map the Revit fonts as True Type Fonts. This is actually specified in the code of the text itself. If you look try to edit the text you will see that there is a font override of RomanS true type font.

Only SHX fonts in Autocad do not have a thickness. You cannot make Revit automatically map to shx fonts as far as I know, you would have to change them in the Autocad Drawing. DO NOT explode the text, just change it's properties. You should be able to select all the text and us the properties dialogue box to change it all at once.

Thank You for the Reply.

Here I have another question..i understood that we can change the style name via properties box but i want to change the formatting it is having ie. text is coming with some thickness.........there is an answer too to this problem is that you select text go to text editor select the text and click additional options button (Autocad200Shadey and remove formatting and remove all formatting.........it does the job but i want to do all at a time.........instead of selecting each text and doing it.

pls. see if there is any way this can be done.

Thanks,

BJW

I am not sure if it will work, but can you freeze all the layers except for the one with the text on it, then select all the text, then change the properties?

You will have to try various ways of doing this.

sorry, HTH
