Is there an easy way in Revit Architecture 08 to view the projects overall Square Footage?  If so, how?  I need to know the overall square footage with walls, etc.  Thanks!  I'm sure its simple and I'm just blind... haha Smile

You have a few options:

Using your room schedule and areas of the room then calculate total.  You'd also need to set your room bounding properties to have the wall centreline be the bounding element.  This relys on you having every room tagged.

Using an Gross Floor Area plan, simply draw area boundary lines around your building for each level and then create an area schedule to calculate the totals.

For a quick take off simply create a filled region (Revit 200Shadey around your building.  Finish sketch and look at your properties you'll see you have an area for the filled region.

OR if you have one floor per level with no overlapping segments you could create a floor schedule with areas and calculate totals.

HTH.

How do you set the room bounding properties to have the wall center line be the bounding element? Thanks!
