We are using the level lines for elevation markers in sections and elevations. Unfortunatly, when we move the marker itself (not the line) horizontally to get it closer to a specific drawing, it moves in other drawings. This is really annoying. Why can't each drawing have an independent set of level lines, that do not effect other views? Has anyone had similar frustrations, and is there a fix.  Thanks for any suggestions.

When you select the level marker symbol you should see a label that says "3D" next to the marker. Click this and it will change to read "2D". You can now move the symbol independantly per view.

what do you do if no 2D or 3D symbol pops up when you click on the level. I know the line is in 3D mode because it effects many other views, I just can't figure out how to switch the level to 2D.

Which version are you using? In 9.1 when the Level Line is selected it gives you the extents control. I have attached an image to show what I am referring to. It may be different in 2008, I have no experience there.

I am using 9.1. The toggle does not appear on a few of my level lines when I pick them. It appears on most of them, but a few just will not show up.

That is strange. I'm not really sure what is happening. I did notice that when I use the break symbol and drag the marker up or down, that the 3D control stays where it is, but I have seen them not show up. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Maybe someone eles has had this problem.
