Hi, I have been asked if there is a way of adding to the Project Browser fields - ie View Name, View Scale, Discipline etc. If anyone knows how to do this - I have already tried adding parameters etc - then please let me know. This reminds me of trying to add a parameter to the types under area type, which I was told can only be added via the developers of Revit. I think this may be the same? Thanks in advance, Deb W.

For browser organization, go to Settings>Browser Organization and click on 'new' and define a new organization. Many of the fields you want are already there and you can add your own parameters as well. For you area type, it is true that the ones that come out of the box are to "BOMA" stanadards which are fixed in definition by BOMA and therefore cannot be changed or added to as you are suggesting. You can of course simply add your own area type parameter to the Revit database. I make my own area type parameters as shared parameters for ultimate flexibility.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your reply - I thought as much - however, I am not sure how you add a parameter for the project browser - client wants to add one with a specific heading, and then have 1-100, 1-200 plans etc listed under it in the Project Browser. I can make a new 'style' of how the project browser looks etc, but cannot add to the list that comes with the software. If you are able to help on this, I would be grateful, thankyou. Debs W.

Hi Tom, Have just gone through add parameter - but using shared parameters this time - and by following my nose, just about, I have now got a new title under the fields for Project Browser. Thank you for pointing me to the shared parameters, I haven't used this very much. All is well, thanks. Client will be pleased. Debs W. Visualisation Consultant / Trainer
