I need the arch to be made up of brick soldiers that radiate around the arch radius center point. Would making a sweep using a brick soldier pattern work? Can you apply a sweep in a curve at an elevation and expect the soldier to stay perpindicular to one edge of the sweep? Sounds like too much for accurender.

it sounds to me like the answer is not in textures (though one could create a new texture that would apply....it might not be worth the trouble). try creating a brick family that has the approriate texture. then, in your project, array the new brick family around the arch. if the geometric distinction is not enough for your render, you can then create a sweep aroung the arch that would represent the mortar, and texture appropriately. im sure there is a better, more efficient way, but this method has worked for me before. let me know if it works for you, and good luck.

Try the family here: http://essentialbim.com/product/brick-arch/

It works a treat and is very flexible and easy to align to your window width, you can also adjust lots of parameters to get the look you want.
