I was wondering if anyone knows of where in the Imperial Library I can find light gauge steel studs and channels. I have only been able to find structural steel channels. Please let me know if there is another folder i should look in / or if a family has been created. Thanks!

They are available in folder

\Imperial Library\Detail Components\Div 09-Finishes\09100-Metal Support Assemblies\09110-Non-Load Bearing Wall Framing

You can add them to your view as Detail Components.  HTH - Troy

rsampat, I also have a fun light gauge channel in the downloads section that also has the utility punch outs

 http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=3308

Also note that this is a detail component.  Are you needing a modeled component?  If there isn't one in the downloads section, it's a very easy thing to model.  Simple sweep.

Let me know if you need more help with this.  Good Luck!

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

rkitect...

I just came back to this post, i am attempting to model the light gauge steel (which Timifsud helped me locate) as a 3d object rather than a profile. When i try to pick the outline of the shape, it will not allow me to select the inner portions of the channel. How would you do it?

thanks!
