I've managed to create a column corbel with extrusion and I've got nearly everything as I need it except the base of the column keeps showing as 300X1050, no hatching on plan, instead of 300X800 with solid hatching.

Please have a look, I'm just new at this.  Thanks.

I added some more reference planes (you should have one for each geometry edge).  Defned both CL reference planes as 'defines origin' this gives a proper insertion point.  Change the visibility of the solid form to not show in plan and added 2D symbolic lines.  Also exposed a user level parameter for the column material.

To add the solid fill, I created a detail component that is nested in.

Thanks so much for your help.  Fabulous.

I'll try to recreate what you've done later today, and I've been able to locate most of the things that you've discussed except for the part about "exposed a user level parameter for the column fill".  Basically how and why, what does that do?

And maybe you could explain to me what controls the look of the column on plan.  I'd like the 300x800 portion to show at Level 1 (and it does) and 300x1050 portion for Level 2 (shows 300x800).

Thanks again.
