I'm trying to make some custom structural steel framing, specifically a beam stub on the face of a column.  Each time I try and load a profile, I get the error about the family not being the correct type.  The family is a column family to start with, but I can't load from the column family or the beam family either.  I'm actually unable to load any of the families at all.

I also tried one of the tutorial lessons following the exact procedure where they make a curved beam and get the exact same error, after the sweep it won't let me load anything.

Any ideas?

Here is the beam and column family files we're using.

Another fellow in our office has the trial version and he has been able to follow the tutorial and load any type of profile when I cannot.

Works fine. You might try reloading Revit...

Yeah I get the same thing, I can't load any Beam or Structure families into my current 2d sketch. It comes up with "The family is not of the correct category". Help out?
