model text on a curved wall.... is it possible?

Model text requires a flat work plane.
Two possibilities:
1. Approximate a series of reference planes around the curve and progressively select them as the work plane adding a letter at a time,
2. Use a decal as it can be hosted by a curved surface, providing you are doing a rendering...
