I'm trying to create a door legend with elevations of all my doors. Using the legend component tool, I can insert elevations of all my door families to scale as required, but when trying to insert a curtain wall door, I get a message reading "Enter a value or formula starting with '=.'" So I try that, typing =, 2 (for example), and then enter. This changes the size of the curtain wall door I am trying to insert, but it's not twice the size like you would think, it's maybe 1.5x the size in the model. I'm just confused as to why I need a formula, and why the size of my door is changing... Help?

You have to enter a distance for the host length in the option bar. It won't matter though. If you type in 4-0", the door will be 4' x 4', probably not what you want. I always have to draw the door using detail lines. Another annoying thing about legends, you can't tag anything. Makes listing items hard.
