Sometimes a window will pop up with wording "circular chain of references" with result that a specific highlighted item can not be edited. If "show" button is clicked another item on model will light up indicating that these two items are somehow linked. Does anyone know what went wrong and how to correct this? Hey Beno, In short it means that an object is referencing another object (picked path, locked alignment etc.) which is trying to refence the primary object. Ummm, think of a line of dogs trying to walk at the same speed, but telling the lead dog to match the speed of the last dog. Circular chain? Obscure analogies aside, the long term solution is to be clear about what you're constraining objects to, not to double up. The cleaner you model the fewer errors like this come up... There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements.
