hi, I'm using revit 8.1, I have a problem with the intersection of 2 walls within an acute angle:the thickness of the walls is different and on the angle I want to insert a profile that I sketched. I've tried with cut geometry, reduce walls, disallowing the joints etc...I've run out ideas but a little corner of wall #1 is still present. I also tried with an opening on the wall but it's difficult to control with the align tool only, and sometimes appears a message saying that the opening doen't match his host...please help. see the attached file for clarity. -paolo

The first thing to check would be your wall structure setups. Make sure that the different layers of the wall are given differing priorities (eg: finish 4, finish 5, substrate 3 etc etc). This is what revit uses to determine how to join walls at intersections. IE: a 4 with trim with a 4, a 4 will take prority over a 5 and continue through the 5... Let me know if this helps. Otherwise you may have to resort to a little workaround i developed. Cheers.
