hi, I'm using revit 8.1, I have a problem with the intersection of 2 walls within an acute angle:the thickness of the walls is different and on the angle I want to insert a profile that I sketched. I've tried with cut geometry, reduce walls, disallowing the joints etc...I've run out ideas but a little corner of wall #1 is still present. I also tried with an opening on the wall but it's difficult to control with the align tool only, and sometimes appears a message saying that the opening doen't match his host...please help. see the attached file for clarity.

The first thing to check would be your wall structure setups.
Make sure that the different layers of the wall are given differing priorities (eg: finish 4, finish 5, substrate 3 etc etc).
This is what revit uses to determine how to join walls at intersections. IE: a 4 with trim with a 4, a 4 will take prority over a 5 and continue through the 5...
Let me know if this helps.
Otherwise you may have to resort to a little workaround i developed.

thanks a lot Mr Spot. I've been awake all night long waiting (now it's 7.15 am!),but finally somone like you give me an useful suggestion. Now the clock is ringing, i go to bed. I will let you know about that workaround. thanks and good night
