How do you turn off the snap option?? i cannot get the exact position of any thing i need to place in its exact location. any ideas??

go to the Setting pull-down and select Snaps

Hey Kakahu,
Another option (that you can use on the fly) is to tab through the positions you're trying to get it too. Usually when you cycle through snapping options manually (by pressing tab) one of the options is 'no snap', which solves most of our problems in this area...
